A transfer of Richard Ríos from Palmeiras to Benfica will financially benefit Flamengo. The Rubro-Negro is entitled to a portion of the 30 million euros (approximately R$ 200 million at the current exchange rate) to be paid by the Portuguese club for the Colombian's transfer. The midfielder, whose contract with Alviverde runs until December 2028, has his economic rights divided, and Mais Querido owns 6.66% of the player's pass. The majority belongs to Palmeiras (70%), while the rest belongs to Guarani (13.34%) and the player and his team (10%). In addition to the percentage of rights, Flamengo will also receive an additional 1% of the transaction, due to FIFA's solidarity mechanism, which benefits training clubs. In international transfers, 5% of the amount paid for the player is set aside for this mechanism, distributed among all the teams in which the player was registered between the ages of 12 and 23.

Richard Ríos played futsal until he was 18 years old and, after standing out for the Colombian national team in a tournament in Rio de Janeiro, he was signed for Flamengo's under-20 team in 2018. In total, he played seven matches for the professional team between 2020 and 2021 before being loaned to Mazatlán in Mexico and later sold to Guarani in 2022. Therefore, Flamengo will receive 7.66% of the 30 million euros agreed between Palmeiras and Benfica.
